Rhine River Germany

The Rhine River in Germany is part of the German border to France and flows into the North Sea in the Netherlands. It is the largest river in Germany and about 1233 km long.

The Rhine begins as a small stream in the Swiss Alps increases in volume enters Lake Constance, continues on its way to the North sea.

It passes the famous Rhine Falls at Schaffhausen and Basel, then becomes a wide river and a major transport route.

The landscapes along the Rhine change frequently, you see vineyards and castles. In the end the Rhine reaches the flat country Netherlands and joins several other rivers when it finally flows to Rotterdam and into the North Sea.
