Norderney Germany Island

Norderney in Germany is an island located in the North Sea and belongs to the group of seven populated East Frisian Islands. The island is around 14 km long and 2.5 km wide and has an area of about 26.3 sq/km.

It is located between Baltrum at the East and Juist at the West.

To get there just take a ferry from the northern German city of Norden.

Norderney has around 6200 inhabitants who live mostly on tourism.

The eastern half of Norderney belongs to the Wattenmeer National Park which is part of the Dutch-German Wadden Sea and is listed as one of the most beautiful landscapes of the world on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Car traffic is restricted.
