Klotten Mosel Germany
Klotten is a small german village located at the river Mosel. To get there go first to the city of Koblenz and change trains there. Take a local train in direction Cochem/Mosel.
Cochem is the next village after Klotten. You can walk to Cochem from Klotten. This takes around 40 minutes. Cochem is slightly bigger and there are more tourists and tourists shops than in Klotten.
When I was a kid my parents sent me sometimes to Klotten to stay with my grandparents for some time. That's why I know this village very well. I got these pictures to show you the beauty of a typical german village at the Mosel.
Many tourists, especially from the Netherlands, have discovered the villages at the river Mosel nowadays and they enjoy staying and relaxing there for a few days. Some take part in the local wine feasts and get drunk.
Klotten is a winemaking centre and surrounded by vineyards. Quite a few pensioners from the Netherlands buy houses in Klotten to spend time there and enjoy the wine and the quiet and natural atmosphere.
