Grossenbrode is a small town in northern Germany in the state Schleswig-Holstein and 80 km away from Lübeck. It is located on the Baltic Sea, south of the island Fehmarn and east of Heiligenhafen. Grossenbrode is a spa town and has a population of 2066 inhabitants who live on tourism and it belongs to the less rainy and most sunny regions in Germany.
Grossenbrode is surrounded by the East Sea on three sides and offers an interesting coast line.
You can drive by car from Grossenbrode to the island Fehmarn in 17 minutes crossing the Fehmarnsundbrücke (Fehmarnsundbridge) which is 963 meters long.
You also can take a ferry to Denmark from Puttgarden.
