German Cookie Recipes - Make some German Cookies

Ingredients used in the above video:

-24 graham cracker squares
-1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
-1 cup flaked coconut
-3/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
-1 can (14oz) sweetened condensed milk


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease 13x9 inch baking pan; set aside.

2. Place graham crackers in food processor. Process until crackers form fine crumbs.     Measure 2 cups of crumbs.

3. Combine crumbs, chips, coconut and walnuts in medium bowl; stir to blend.
    Add milk; stir with mixing spoon until blended.

4. Spread batter evenly into prepared pan. Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Let pan stand on wire rack until completely cooled.
Cut into 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch bars.

*Store tightly covered at room temperature.











Another Recipe for 1 portion


250 g soft butter
250 g sugar
2 eggs
500 g flour
½ pk backing powder
some powdered sugar for the icing
some lemon juice for the icing

Mix butter, sugar and 2 eggs in a large bowl and at medium speed with mixer.
Mische Butter, Zucker und zwei Eier in einer grossen Schüssel mit einem Mixer bei mittlerer Geschwindigkeit.

Mix 1/2 pk baking powder into the flour and then stir all this into the bowl. Let the dough rest for some hours.

Sprinkle flour on surface and roll the dough on it until it is 1/8" thick.
Cut the dough into shapes you like.

Bake it in oven at around 200° C (350°F) for 5 to 8 minutes until edges are light brown. Now the cookies are still soft but they harden when they cool down.
