Frankenberg an der Eder is a small town in Hessen, Germany with 18 000 inhabitants. It has a nice renovated Old Town and a renovated New Town. It is located southwest of Kassel and the town has been elected as one of the most liked towns in Hessen.

Historisches Rathaus / Historical Townhall
You find the beautiful townhall and the market hall in the Old Town which connects the Upper- and Lower market.
The Liebfrauenkirche towers over the town and was built in the years 1286 - 1353.
Ehemaliges Kloster (former monastery)
The former monastery St. Georgenberg is a museum nowadays.
Steinhaus (Stone house)
The stone house is easy to see at the Upper Market. It originates 1240 and was built from a reputable family and served as a meeting hall for the city council.
