Have you ever been to Cochem Germany? It is a beautiful place, a small town located at the river Mosel. I was born there in the hospital but I never lived in Cochem myself, but stayed in Klotten which is the next village.
You can walk to Klotten, a wine-making village, along the railway tracks or take the train. It takes you around 40 minutes to get there by foot. There are wine fests in Klotten and Cochem. Many tourist buses stop in Cochem and the tourists stay for a few hours and visit the shops, the Cochem Castle and try some Mosel Wine.
If you like to stay longer then you can rent private rooms in
Cochem or Klotten. Just look for signs that say "Fremdenzimmer" or
Zimmer - Room or Rooms
Fremden - Foreigner
Fremdenzimmer - Foreignerrooms (guest rooms)
A view from the Cochem Castle over the town.(see above)
a view to the other side of the Mosel, there is the other part of Cochem.
A view from the mountain range above where you can make long walks with fantastic views.
Arriving in Cochem coming from Klotten...
looking at the castle from across the river.
A view from the mountain range further down in direction Klotten. You can also walk over the mountain range to Klotten and enjoy great views, but this takes longer, of course, compared to the walk along the railway tracks near the river below. But if you walk along the mountain range there are some restaurants where you can eat typical German food.
