How to make Bratwurst yourself

To make Bratwurst yourself is not difficult because this type of sausage is easy to handle and suitable for beginners.

You just need a few things, most of them are already in your household.

- a good knife
- a few pots (bowls)
- spices
- a mincer (meatgrinder)
- ideally a sausage stuffer

A sausage stuffer is not expensive. If you don't have one then use the mincer, but it is much easier to do it with a sausage stuffer. I suggest you get one.

You need:
1.5 kg belly of pork
0.5 kg pork shoulder
Pork bowel 26/28
3x egg white

per kg

20 g cooking salt
2 g white pepper
1 g mace
1 g ginger (ingwer)
0.5 g cardamom
