Augsburg is a historical German city founded in 15 B.C. by the Romans and located south of Germany west of Munich and has around 273 000 inhabitants.
The city is situated at the rivers Lech, Wertach and Singold.

The main street of the old city is the Maximilianstrasse. See the old fountains and historic buildings and the gothic church of St Ulrich. Go to the Fuggerei, founded in 1521 and the Lutheran church (kirche) of St Anna, the"Schaezlerpalais" Rococo Palace, the Botanical Gardens and modern art in the"Glass Palace".
American soldiers were stationed in Augsburg for many years.
